About
Dr. Ethan Young, PT, DPT
I became passionate about Physical Therapy at a young age as I was frequently injured while participating in sports. My passion for sports and interest in the human body led me to study Athletic Training at Western Illinois University. After completing an internship at ESPN Wide World of Sports, I moved to Denver, CO to study at Regis University where I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.
After a few years of working for a large outpatient company, it became clear to me that the industry standard for physical therapy wasn’t doing patients or the profession justice.
I started Ascend to challenge the current standard of physical therapy. I believe that patients deserve individual care and attention which is why I offer one-on-one sessions. I want to fully understand every detail of your issue so I can address all of your needs, allowing you to participate in the activities you love.
When I’m not in the clinic I enjoy participating in all the activities Colorado has to offer. Don’t be surprised to see me out rock climbing, mountain biking, or playing volleyball at the park!
Dr. Tim Richardt, PT, DPT
I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2015, and a dual B.S. in Neurobiology and Biomechanics From Penn State in 2012.
As an oft-injured high school and collegiate track athlete who would go on to have 3 hip surgeries, I became fascinated by what made some people seemingly invincible and others crumble like glass when exposed to high training loads. This interest led me to study, and subsequently fall in love with, many other disciplines, including weightlifting, backcountry skiing, rock climbing, moving meditation, breath work, and extreme temperature exposure. It has also stoked a passion for all things manual therapy, including spinal manipulation, joint mobilization, and trigger-point dry needling.
I joined Ascend in 2024 in order to work with patients the way I believe physical therapy should be practiced, as an integrative therapy not limited by insurance restrictions or disparate from fitness/movement practices.
I’ve experienced almost every orthopedic overuse injury so YOU don’t have to. I’ve made damn near every training error in the book so YOU can avoid them. I’m excited to be the sherpa along your movement journey. Let’s get to work.
